This video with show you the highlights of some of the new features introduced into ACS Pro 6.14.
As always look at the release notes to see exactly what has been introduced into this release.
We have improved the display and layout of the available recording methods. When cameras are selected the available options are presented in cards on the right-hand side of the screen. A recording option can then be selected and configured to your requirements.
As well as the standard continuous and motion detections recording options, we have now introduced object detection. Object detection is an integration of the AXIS Object Analytics application which comes pre-installed on compatible cameras.
AXIS Object Analytics is compatible with Axis MLPU cameras running AXIS OS 10.2 or later, and DLPU cameras running AXIS OS 10.3 or later. You can check and update the AXIS OS your camera using the management options within the device’s menu item.
Object Detection enables the generation of triggers for recordings and alarm notifications when human or vehicles are detected in the scene. Using object detection can provide more focused results when compared to motion detection which will trigger on any movement within the scene.
It is worth noting that additional and advanced configurations can also be configured using Object analytics within actions rules.
Another improvement within Recording methods has been made to Manual recordings. The manual recording function provides an operator the ability for recordings to be started by an operator whilst watching live video. As well as being used in solutions that require operator triggered recordings rather than automated. This can also be a useful tool for operators to “mark” interesting footage whilst observing incidents.
A new function that can be enabled is the creation of a bookmark when the manual recording is started. This allows the operator to add a comment as to why they activated the recording immediately, bookmarks can also be added at some other time.
Finally a maximum recording duration can now be specified. This can be used ensure that a manual recording is not accidently left ON indefinitely as it could in some cases have a negative effect on the solutions storage allocation.
For users of our Action rules we have made several changes that improves the usability and efficiency when creating of rules. Rules are now presented as cards giving you full visibility and immediate access to all of the elements that make up the rule. You can add and edit any element of the action rule without being restricted to a specific order which simplifies the process.
You can now select multiple rules and add common triggers or actions. If you want to add the same action or tigger to all of the selected rules you can.
Finally, an additional display option has been added to maps. Direction arrow. Coverage areas can be used to indicate the cameras direction of view but in solutions where there is a high concentration of cameras they can clutter the map. In addition to a coverage area, you can now display a direction arrow. The arrowhead can be easily rotated around the camera icon providing a simple but effective indication of the cameras direction the view.

This video highlights the new features and key updates in AXIS Camera Station Pro 6.13. We offer a single software version that encompasses all features and functions to support our products—covering video, audio, and access control. However, the installation file has grown significantly. As a result, the MSI files for both server and client installations are now provided in ZIP file. Ensure you extract the contents of the ZIP file before installing the software via the MSI installer. For online systems, we provide the AXIS Camera Station Pro Server and Client Online Installer, which automatically extracts the ZIP file and initiates the installation process.
This release introduces new functionality to Secure Entry, our built-in access control solution. In the Access Management Settings, you'll now find Badge Templates, allowing you to design custom access control cards. You can create multiple templates to visually distinguish and identify different access rights for cards and cardholders. Templates can be applied to one or multiple cardholders, and printing is supported via HID Fargo Printers.
A major enhancement to our access control solution is the addition of elevator support. An access control reader can be installed inside an elevator car, restricting access to floors unless the correct credentials are presented. The reader in the elevator car connects to a door controller, which uses relay outputs to grant access to each floor. To accommodate the increased need for relay outputs (one per floor), the AXIS A9910 expansion module can now be directly connected to the A16, A17, and A18 door controllers—eliminating the need for an additional network cable. This ensures a cost-effective installation while saving you time and effort. Note: The current version supports up to 16 floors.
The integration of the AXIS D1110 decoder has been improved. Update the decoder to AXIS OS 12.6.x or higher will enable the streaming of up to 16 simultaneous video streams. Previously, only templates with up to 9 cameras were supported. Now, you can use any view template containing up to 16 cameras. This decoder allows you to display video without requiring a PC, making it ideal for providing an overview of key cameras.
