Minimum system requirements: AXIS Camera Station Pro 6.17 and above. In the 6.17 release of AXIS Camera Station Pro, we have added the ability to play back recordings saved directly to an AXIS SD card within your Axis cameras. AXIS SD cards can be used as primary storage and as a redundant storage option as recordings can also be copied to your server either continuously or as part of a schedule, which is useful for managing bandwidth restrictions that might be present at specific times of the day. Edge storage offers more flexibility when designing solutions and can useful when additional storage is unavailable on the main server, when there are bandwidth restrictions between the camera and the recording server, or in cases where connectivity is not permanently available. In this release, we’ve made several changes to improve how trigger and action options are displayed within action rules. The available options are now presented in a clear list, making them easier to find and select. We’ve also updated the layout of split views to align with other recent configuration changes and an additional icon has been added to make template selection quicker and easier. An exciting new feature is dynamic hotspots. Dynamic hotspots work together with action rules to display video when a trigger is activated. If multiple triggers are activated, then that video is also shown and the hotspot updates dynamically. Dynamic hotspots can give operators a clear overview of activity across the sites they are monitoring and are particularly useful for monitoring premises outside normal operating hours. The dashboard creation process has been simplified to make it easier to build dashboards for your specific requirements. Data dashboards are created by selecting a template, choosing the supported devices, and naming the dashboard. Dashboards are now displayed in their own folder, making them easier to access and manage. In this release we have significantly enhanced the Quick Configuration Wizard, which is used to apply recording settings to cameras as they are added to the system. When adding cameras to a recording server, the wizard now allows you to apply multiple recording methods simultaneously to all newly added devices. By default, the wizard selects the camera’s Medium stream profile for continuous recording and the High stream profile for motion and object-triggered recording. These defaults can be easily adjusted within the recording method menu to suit your specific needs. If motion or object recording is selected further configurations can be applied to individual cameras such as defining the area of interest. Within Object detected you can also choose to record on humans and or vehicles. Once you have configured one camera you can easily select the next camera and optimise its settings. A new feature introduced in this release is that audit and event logs can be written to file. These files can be used by IT teams to integrate axis camera station pro with Syslog solutions allowing them to monitor AXIS Camera Station Pro along with other equipment on their network. A number of improvements and new features have been made with our body worn integration. It is now much easier to connect a Body Worn system since you easy can connect with the server directly in the Configuration tab. A new feature that has been introduced is the ability to connect to Computer Aided Dispatch solutions.
