In this release we have significantly enhanced the Quick Configuration Wizard, which is used to apply recording settings to cameras as they are added to the system. When adding cameras to a recording server, the wizard now allows you to apply multiple recording methods simultaneously to all newly added devices.
By default, the wizard selects the camera’s Medium stream profile for continuous recording and the High stream profile for motion and object-triggered recording. These defaults can be easily adjusted within the recording method menu to suit your specific needs.
If motion or object recording is selected further configurations can be applied to individual cameras such as defining the area of interest. Within Object detected you can also choose to record on humans and or vehicles.
Once you have configured one camera you can easily select the next camera and optimise its settings.
A new feature introduced in this release is that audit and event logs can be written to file. These files can be used by IT teams to integrate axis camera station pro with Syslog solutions allowing them to monitor AXIS Camera Station Pro along with other equipment on their network.
A number of improvements and new features have been made with our body worn integration. It is now much easier to connect a Body Worn system since you easy can connect with the server directly in the Configuration tab.
A new feature that has been introduced is the ability to connect to Computer Aided Dispatch solutions.
If this is of interest please take a look at the Body worn playlist which will contain a videos that explore this further:

This video reviews some of the main features and functions introduced into the 6.15 release of Axis Camera Station Pro.
The highlight of this release is a change of procedure associated with the licensing of Axis S-Series recorders which simplifies the management of offline installations.
Now when you register a Axis S-Series recorder within AXIS License Manager all of the pre-bundled licenses and added expansion licenses will be available for off line systems enabling them to grow without the need to re-sync with AXIS License Manager every time a new device is added to the system.
If you add more devices than there are licenses, a grace period of 60 days will start to give you time to purchase additional licenses. You must redeem and add the licenses and resync the server with Axis License Manager. If not, the server will become unlicensed when the grace period ends.
We have continued to add functionality to the inbuilt data insight dashboards. You can now display data associated with audio, people counting, vehicle counting and air quality.
Our environmental sensors now provide heat index and humidex measurements which can be used to better understand how the environment actually feels to people.
Color-coded threshold values are now provided in both the data insight dashboard and the live dashboards provided by the sensors. These threshold levels highlight if any action or investigation is required. The details of the thresholds can be seen within the devices web interface within the dashboard menu option which is also where you can also choose which details are displayed.
Finally several small system administration features have been introduced. You can now see the storage and RAID status of AXIS S30 and S40 series recording devices within storage management.
Within user permissions two different privileges have been added: “Add categories to events” and “Remove categories from events” these options allow you to restrict access to the event categories function.
Finally, the minimum retention time for logs is now 7 days, and the maximum retention time is 1000 days. This ensures that useful information will be available for a reasonable time if required.

AXIS Camera Station 5 will remain supported until September 30, 2027, after which it will no longer be developed, maintained, or tested.
Existing customers can stay up to date with the latest features and functionality by upgrading their software to AXIS Camera Station Pro.
AXIS Camera Station 5 installed on Axis S-Series recorders can be upgraded for free and all included and registered licenses will be converted to AXIS Camera Station Pro lifetime licenses which are tied to the recorder hardware.
For solutions using third-party servers and virtual machines a subscription license model has been introduced, which allow AXIS Camera Station 5 licenses installed on non-AXIS recording hardware to be converted to 5-year AXIS Camera Station Pro subscription licenses via the purchase of an upgrade license.
This video shows the process for an online system.
