Cybersecurity affects everyone — and now, high school students have a powerful new pathway to build the skills, confidence, and credentials they need to succeed in this critical field.
Last year, College Board launched AP Career Kickstart, a program designed to help students get a head start on their careers through partnerships with leading resource providers like Cisco Networking Academy. As AP Cybersecurity becomes an official course in the new school year, hear directly from the teachers who participated in the pilot program about the impact it's having on their classrooms and their students.
In this video, educators share how Cisco Networking Academy is removing traditional barriers to cybersecurity education by providing:
✅ Free, ready-to-teach curriculum bundled and accessible to teachers
✅ Integrated Packet Tracer for hands-on student practice — no extra materials needed
✅ Real-world skill building that boosts student confidence
✅ A unique dual credential opportunity — students can earn college credit based on AP exam scores AND the Cisco CCST Cybersecurity certification
Hear inspiring stories of students who discovered their passion, gained confidence, and even launched careers — including one graduate who landed a network support role and is now pursuing his CCNA, all because this course put him on the right path.

In this episode, hosts Kareem Iskander and Matt DeNapoli are joined by Jason Belk from the Learn with Cisco Tech Advocacy Team to explore Spec-Driven Development — a powerful framework that brings structure, accountability, and project management guardrails to AI-assisted coding.
If you've heard of "vibe coding," this is the disciplined, scalable alternative. Jason walks us through the GitHub Spec Kit (originally released by Microsoft), demonstrates how to use it with Claude Code, and shows a real-world example of extending an MCP Network Assistant project to connect to live network devices using the Cisco DevNet NSO Sandbox.
You'll learn how Spec-Driven Development:
Solves AI context window limitations on larger projects
Creates auditable markdown artifacts (constitution, specs, plans, tasks)
Enables parallel agent workflows with Git worktrees
Works across coding, automation, AND network change management
Integrates with GitHub issues for backlog management
Adds human-in-the-loop checkpoints for enterprise environments
Whether you're a network engineer, developer, or automation enthusiast, this framework lowers the barrier to entry for AI-assisted projects while keeping you in control.

What happens when the program that changed your life becomes the place you return to — to change others'?
Meet Quinn Snyder, a Cisco Technical Advocate from Queen Creek, AZ, whose story is a powerful reminder of what opportunity, curiosity, and dedication can build over a lifetime. At just 13 years old, Quinn pushed his way into a Cisco Networking Academy course in a small community where opportunities like that were rare. From that first hands-on moment with networking equipment, he knew he had found his path.
Quinn shares how the Cisco Networking Academy launched his career, led him to work at a Cisco partner, and eventually brought him to Cisco itself — where he discovered a deep passion for teaching. Now, he's come full circle, working alongside the very type of instructors who shaped him, helping them skill up in automation, AI, and programmability.
This is a story about gratitude, growth, and giving back.✨ Subscribe for more tech videos! @CiscoUtube ✨

This session introduces instructors to how OSPF is implemented in real enterprise networks using multiple areas. By understanding the limitations of single-area OSPF and how multi-area OSPF addresses those limitations, instructors will gain the confidence and background needed to teach CCNA OSPF topics more effectively.
Session Overview
We begin by exploring why multiple OSPF areas are needed in larger networks. From there, we provide a brief, high-level look at OSPF LSA types and how they support scalability and efficient routing.
Using this foundation, we examine three common multi-area design approaches:
• Normal Areas
• Stub Areas
• Totally Stubby Areas
The session concludes by connecting these concepts to the CCNP Enterprise curriculum (ENCOR and ENARSI), helping instructors see how CCNA topics evolve into more advanced networking knowledge.
Hands-On Component
The scenario used in this session is built in Cisco Packet Tracer. The .pkt file and accompanying lab will be provided, allowing instructors to explore the concepts and adapt them for their own teaching.
Outcome
Understand how OSPF is used in real networks—so you can teach CCNA OSPF with greater confidence and context, and take your first step toward CCNP.
